The Opportunity:
Joseph T. Ryerson & Son, Inc., a leading distributor and processor of metals in North America, is currently seeking an Administrative Support person to join our Newark, DE location. Reporting to the hiring manager, successful candidate will be responsible for duties including but not limited to:
- Assignment of a wide variety of diverse general office functions such as ordering supplies, filing and answering phones
- Create and modify documents using MS Office
- Perform general clerical duties, such as: photocopying and faxing
- File maintenance and retention - coordination and organization of information and files
- Setup and coordinate meetings and conferences
- Support staff in assigned projects
- Other duties as assigned
• High School diploma
- 1-3 years previous general office experience
- Outstanding computer skills with the ability to apply knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Experience creating reports and manipulating data using database applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise appropriate discretion and good judgment in completing job duties and maintaining confidential information
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers
- Demonstrated ability to perform within a team environment and add to the overall success of the team
