About us

California Rail Builders is one of three the design build contractors on the California High-Speed Rail Project. Our project is located within the counties of Tulare and Kern, and the cities of Shafter and Wasco. It is bounded by a point approximately one mile north of the Tulare-Kern County Line to the north and Poplar Avenue to the south. The project alignment will extend approximately 22 miles in length. Major work elements include construction of at-grade, retained fill, and aerial track sections. We are professional, inclusive and fast-paced.

The position of Associate Project Manager/Field Engineer will provide technical and functional support related to construction activities in the field and office.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quantity take-offs.
  • Perform cost estimates.
  • Prepare labor schedules.
  • Order and Receive materials, supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Process change orders.
  • Recommend solutions to design changes throughout construction process.
  • Manage subcontractor scope of work respective to various contracts.
  • Create and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Manage project resources and ensure that tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor project progress and report status to stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve project issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and other team members.
  • Develop and implement project management processes and procedures.
  • Ensure that projects meet quality standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Science, or equivalent
  • Experience of project management in civil works or heavy construction preferred
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Project), Adobe Acrobat. We are looking for an Associate Project Manager to join our team and help manage our projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments. The Associate Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, as well as providing support and guidance to team members throughout the project life cycle.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $64,254.00 - $96,381.00 per year
