Job description
SUMMARY:
The Automation amp SCADA Project Manager is responsible for managing industrial automation projects that support recycling and landfill disposal operations.
Automation and control systems are deployed to monitor and control a range of engineered systems/processes that are used in recycling landfill leachate removal gas collection and emission systems energy recovery and wastewater treatment.
This position will define project scopes and manage executions by contractors for our Client's Industrial Automation Group. The Automation amp SCADA manager will have direct oversight of contractors project schedules and support field operations with the implementation of SCADA and control systems. These systems are imperative to operational performance environmental protection and regulatory compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project management Drive schedules manage meetings coordinate internal amp external team members
Oversees amp manage third party contractors during system install to develop update/redline system layouts detailed drawings and schematics.
Prepare costs estimate and purchase of field equipment and instruments.
Oversee and manage field system commissioning and startup activities for projects.
Maintain accurate records and files according to quality standards. Assistance in reviewing and approve engineering submittals such as equipment control panel design PampID drawings and others Work collaboratively with Client's team members such as Cybersecurity Digital and Operations
Work in a team environment to develop corporate specifications for industrial control systems instrumentation and other hardware.
Work in a team environment to manage company-wide SCADA platforms and other industrial automation projects. Oversees calibrates programs and installations of software updates to field installed equipment and instruments
Ensure 100 environmental compliance in all work activities and follow environmental rules and regulations.
Must be able to oversee and direct third-party contractors during field activities.
Must be able to coordinate field activities between site teams and contractors.
Review contractor invoices and ensure timely submission.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors of Science Degree accredited or in lieu of degree High School Diploma or GED accredited and 4 years of relevant experience.
4 years of SCADA or Industrial Controls Project Management including instrument/equipment selection installation PLC Hardware/HMI Software etc. field installation and troubleshooting support in addition to education requirement.
Project Management Certification ndash Strongly encouraged but not required
