Since 1983, Guadalupe Valley Family Violence Shelter, Inc. has provided free, confidential, trauma-informed services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence within Guadalupe, Gonzales, Karnes, and Wilson counties of Texas.
We are looking for an experienced Counselor to join our team and provide support to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individual and group counseling services, creating treatment plans, and assessing the progress of clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong understanding of mental health issues. Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, family, and group counseling services to clients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for clients.
- Conduct assessments and provide feedback to clients.
- Maintain client records in accordance with professional standards and legal requirements.
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
- Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate services for clients.
- Advocate for clients in the community.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
