We are hiring full-time employees as drivers to fill positions of rollback operator, heavy wrecker and transport trailer positions!
Full-time is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm with a rotation of nights and weekends on call. This position would be paid at hourly plus commission.
Must be willing to rotate with Olson Towing locations in South Dakota to include Rapid City, Sturgis, and Kadoka.
Qualifications Include:
~ Must be 21 years or older
~ Clean background and driving record
~ Pass pre-employment drug testing. Must pass random drug test when requested. We request hair follicle drug testing.
~ DOT physical and medical card, preferred
~ CDL is preferred for Rollback Operators, but willing to train
~ CDL is REQUIRED for Heavy Wrecker or Transport Trailer
~ Attention to details, required
~ Customer service skills, required
~ Assess a situation and complete it safely
~ Being able to work as a team as well as on your own, safely & professionally
~ Must be mechanically inclined & have experience with basic hand tools
~ Must be able to operate vehicles with automatic & manual transmission
~ Must understand technology. i.e. smart phones, tablets, variety of apps, etc.
~ Must be comfortable driving in all types of weather South Dakota has to offer
~ Willing to learn & understand working load limits of equipment used
Job Duties:
~ Transport all makes, models of vehicles, semis, trailers, etc.
~ Transport machinery, building materials, etc.
~ Knowledge on how to secure all forms of loads
~ Winching vehicles or machinery out of difficult situations
~ Transport two vehicles using one truck
~ Tow campers, horse trailers, boat trailers, etc.
~ Learn to use dollies for AWD vehicles
~ Maintain cleanliness of truck inside and out
~ Follow company policy on daily truck inspections
~ Properly secure what is being transported
~ Jumpstarts, tire changes, lockouts & fuel deliveries
~ Recovery work; accidents & winch outs
~ Hauling equipment
~ Towing semis
~ Load shifts
