RH2 is currently seeking an entry-level Hydraulic Engineer - Modeler for our Planning/Analysis group in our Bothell, WA office. This group primarily provides drinking water and wastewater planning/analysis and hydraulic modeling services, either as standalone projects or in support of facility design and construction.

About the Job
As a Hydraulic Engineer, you will be working and collaborating with other RH2 team members in the planning, designing and construction of water and wastewater facility projects. This work matters and impacts the quality of life for local communities, so we have big responsibilities and strict qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis for drinking water distribution systems, wastewater and stormwater collection systems, and associated facilities (e.g. pump stations and reservoirs).
  • Prepare water and wastewater comprehensive plans, reports, and other documents.
  • Support the design and construction of water, sewer, stormwater, roadway, and irrigation projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
  • Completed Engineer-In-Training certification highly preferred; willingness and ability to obtain P.E. license when eligible
  • Desire to work in public sector consulting with a focus on drinking water/wastewater modeling, planning, and analysis.
  • Strong technical writing, analytical, problem-solving, and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess a detail-oriented approach to work and desire to produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel and Word preferred at an intermediate skill level.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn design, mapping and hydraulic modeling software including WaterGEMS, Infowater Pro, SewerGEMS, PC-SWMM, ArcGIS Pro, AutoCAD, and others.

Compensation

Individual compensation will vary within a range based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience as they relate to the requirements for this position. RH2 values our employees’ work/life balance and compensates overtime for hours exceeding 40 regular hours in a work week.
