Maintenance Worker Daytona Beach, FL
Job description
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and general maintenance. Responsibilities will include applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensuring facilities are tidy and functional. The ideal candidate will have condominium preventative maintenance and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Perform minor fixes such as repairing lights, plumbing, & electrical when a licensed contractor is not required.
- Grant access to vendors on an as needed basis.
- Daily check of HVAC cooling tower system for temperatures and pressure
- Pool maintenance and upkeep. Must be pool certified.
- Upkeep of all common areas to include taking out dumpsters, lawn upkeep, parking decks, etc. Pool deck, furniture, and beach access must be hosed down daily.
- Conduct basic maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, changing A/C filters, etc.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. A/C systems, generator, elevators)
- Check of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm & pumps)
- Offer solutions to problems.
- Perform light cleaning activities such as vacuuming, mopping etc.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical
- Experience using hand and electrical tools, pressure washer.
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity. Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds if required (e.g. paint buckets, pavers, tools). Must be able to climb stairs as needed.
Report to the On-Site Property Manager and/or Community Association Manager
Job Types: Part-time 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
