Your Contribution to Our Mission:
QinetiQ Inc. is looking to hire a Mechanical Technician II to support the production and assembly of complex electronic and electro-mechanical systems and sub-systems at our Franklin, MA facility. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
Assemble a variety of products according to assembly procedures, drawings and bill-of-material.
Plan and manage job assignments and meet scheduled goals.
Operate with a high sense of urgency Electro-Mechanical Assemblies.
Identify and select/sort electronic components and sub-assemblies.
Install /assemble a wide variety of electronic components.
To Land This Job, You Need:
HS diploma/GED required
This role requires remaining flexible and engaged with the team, producing a highly complex assembly.
Solid Experience with hand assembly processes and basic measuring tools
Good organizational skills to maintain your assembly work stations
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to perform basic computer data entry tasks using Microsoft Suite.
General experience using Inventory software tools, product documentation databases and quality software tools.
Strong interpersonal skills
Solid communication skills; both written and oral.
Ability to perform basic shop-floor math.
Capable of working in a team environment.
Experience working in a fast paced, flexible environment
Easily adaptable with a willingness to learn
Flexibility to cross train in other areas of the process
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
The following is desired:
Current and/or past certifications in:
IPC-610 “ Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies”
JSTD-001 , “Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies“
