JOB DESCRIPTION:
Performs, calculates, reviews and reports laboratory diagnostic tests. Basic laboratory skills, maintenance, QC, and troubleshooting abilities. Understands the clinical significance of the testing performed. Responsibilities for teaching, training, correction of procedural/instrument issues increase through the range of MLS I to MLS III. (See Accountabilities.)
SHIFT NOTE:
This position is scheduled to work primarily 4 nights per week, 10-hour shifts. Various start time (i.e., 21:00, 23:00 or 01:00). Occasional evenings (i.e., Work Shift Eve/Night-8-10hr). The position will work 2 full weekends per month and rotating holidays.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in biological science or chemistry; Medical Laboratory Scientist certification preferred or attained within two years.
EXPERIENCE:
Laboratory experience preferred.
Medical Laboratory Technicians, MLT(ASCP) with previous Blood Bank experience are encouraged to apply.
SIGN ON BONUS:
