We are operating several outpatient orthopedic centers in Orlando and this position will be available early July when new construction is finished.
Our centers are staffed with the best orthopedic physicians and therapists serving a patient population ranging from about 7 years old to about 70.
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist with Hand Therapist experience, if you have the CHT certificate that's a plus but not required.
Your responsibilities will include:
Provide outpatient occupational therapy services in a specialist's office. This includes treatment of various musculoskeletal pathologies and fabricating custom splints within their scope of practice and documenting said care so that the practice can be reimbursed for the services provided.
The main skill you need to have is the experience and splinting skills to fabricate the type of custom splints the hand surgeon may order.
It's an opportunity to work with a specific doctor and develop rapport with him and help develop and expand these services.
Job Type:
Full time
Schedule:
Mon-Fri 8-5
Why you should come work for us:
Most practices are focused on the volume of patients that a clinician sees. Working in a physician owned practice allows the clinicians to focus on patient care because we only see patients from within the group.
This allows clinicians to develop a treatment philosophy that facilitates both the needs of the physician as it relates to the care of their patients, and the needs / goals of the patient that sought the care of the referring specialist.
