Wellness Psychological Services is a busy private practice that specializes in individual and couples therapy with two offices located in St. Pete and South Tampa. We have been doing predominantly telehealth and virtual sessions but are getting increasing demand for in person sessions. This position can be partially in office and partially virtual or all in person depending on preference. This is a unique opportunity for a psychologist or post doctoral resident who loves the freedom and independence of practicing independently but also wants to be part of dynamic group in a supportive team setting. We are hiring both licensed psychologists and psychology post doctoral residents. Positions for licensed psychologists are 1099 independent contractor positions. For post doctoral residents it would be an employee position and requires a certain number of hours per week and supervision for licensure is provided.
We accept many private insurances but also have a growing significant number of private pay referrals. The practice offers a steady stream of referrals, billing services, virtual administrative assistant who schedules. We offer beautiful office spaces. The St. Pete office is in a newer building in a highly desirable central location. Our Tampa office is situated on the water with unbelievable views of Tampa Bay. As part of the position you will be credentialed with the insurances accepted by the practice. The primary job duty is psychotherapy for adults but there are also opportunities for tailoring the position to the interests of the psychologist to include couples therapy, child therapy and/or psychological evaluations. Having specific niches or areas of expertise in couples therapy or child therapy are a plus and mentoring and opportunities for supervision and training for desired areas of expertise are available. There is an incentive based pay program where the psychologist has an opportunity to make higher percentages based on the amount billed. There is significant flexibility in being either part time or full time, virtual or in person or combo, and on the days/hours chosen to accommodate different schedules as it is an independent contractor position. As the practice is growing there will also be opportunities for growth and taking on more responsibilities such as clinical director and site supervisor roles.

Requirements For Licensed Psychologist:
- Florida licensed Psychologist or LMFT with specialization in couples therapy or LMHC with specializations in trauma and anxiety.
- Willing to work a minimum of 10 client face to face hours per week
- Specific niche or area of expertise in couples therapy, child therapy, eating disorders or trauma are a plus*
- Prior private practice experience or paneling on insurance is a plus*
Requirements For Post Doctoral Residents
- Currently completing an APA approved internship
- Dissertation is complete prior to starting or very close to completion
- Willingness to do in person therapy in both our Tampa and St. Pete offices in addition to some all virtual days.
- Preference for a desire to stay on and become part of the practice once you are licensed as an independent contractor.
