Come join Coast Truck Centers – our Troutdale, OR dealership is currently seeking a Service Writer to join our dynamic team.
Pay Range: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour depends on experience.
Job consists of greeting customers and visitors, preparing work orders by describing symptoms and problems, monitoring service progress and reviewing technician time, scheduling appointments, coordinating parts for shop and taking orders. Contacting customers for purchase orders and payment. Inspecting the yard daily. Answering phones, filing, organizing, and maintaining the Service Department write up areas. Referring customers to service advisor when necessary.
Valid driver license, high school diploma or GED, excellent communication and customer services skills, strong recordkeeping skills required. Mechanical experience preferred.
Full-time day shift job.
Work is of the physical nature and involves frequent walking, gripping, reaching, kneeling, bending, and stooping. Working environment is indoors and outdoors.
On a post-offer basis, candidates must pass drug screening and eRailSafe background check to meet the U.S. Department of Homeland Security requirements as required. Social Security number required.

Full-time employees are eligible for health plan benefits first of month following 60 days of employment. Employees may cover their spouse or domestic partner and/or dependent child(ren) up to the age of 26. Medical insurance is on a shared cost basis. Dental, vision and supplemental life insurance is available and funded solely by employee. Plus, for employees only at no cost, Hospital Indemnity plan (requires enrollment in a medical plan) and Basic Life and AD&D. Eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan after attainment of age 21 and completion of 6 months of service. Paid holidays and paid vacation after 90 days of full-time employment.
