This position is a rare opportunity... an opening on one of Lockheed Martin's most successful programs! Come join the MARK IV-B team! We are the leading weather program of US Armed Force that receives meteorological satellite data from all over the world. Our 9 ground station around the world provide critical situation awareness weather data for our frontline troops. Our servers control the antennas, obtain and manipulate the data, then provide the images to our client product. Our client product itself provides our users with countless functionalities for our downloaded data. MARK IV-B handles everything from start to finish. We are currently looking to expand our software team and will create the perfect role for the right individual.
This engineering position will assist with the USAF satellite data exploration web application development and upgrades. This position will also assist with the global system monitoring software which tracks system activity from all sites and monitors the operations.
Preferred Degree: Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent
- Software Language Desired: C++, JSON
- Experience with Windows OS and its internals
- Experience with Visual Studio
- Ability to reframe the issue to find a solution when roadblocks arise
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
