The College of Arts & Media, Dean’s Office is currently seeking applications for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) TEMPORARY IT Support (temporary Information Technology Support). This temporary position will provide basic IT and technology support and systems administration to computer labs and classrooms.
Examples of Work Performed:
Support/Systems Administration
- Maintain and support workstation functionality and performance.
- Manage Active Directory User/Computer groups for network shared storage permissions. Manage Group Policy Object configuration for client-side user settings.
- Maintain stability and functionality teaching spaces, in consultation with VA faculty.
- Maintain stability and functionality file, license, and application servers.
- Maintain stability and functionality of networking equipment in collaboration with University OIT.
Operations
- Collaborate with CAM IT on lab needs.
- Support Summer programs that utilize teaching spaces.
- Create updated workstation image and perform annual re-imaging of all DAC workstations.
- Audit and maintain hardware and equipment inventory.
Software
- Maintain software licenses and functionality.
- Install, update, and configure software in consultation with VA faculty.

Anticipated Pay Range:
Salary:
The hourly rate for this temporary position has been established at $20.00-$27.00/hour.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is eligible for overtime compensation.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, management/computer information systems, computer engineering, information technology, digital animation, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. Substitution: A combination of relevant education and related technical/paraprofessional experience, totaling 4 years, may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree.
2-years experience supporting IT functions (may include workstations; imaging; software updates)

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience providing IT support in a higher education
Experience with active directory user/computer groups
